This morning I'd like to pass on some helpful tips to you re the travel industry.  Did you know that when you book your trip on the Internet despite it being cheaper to do so, if you cancel there is no reimbursement from the airline?  Yes!  So many of us are of so excited to get cheaper fares that the one thing that we almost always fail to remember is that if we have to cancel there is no cancellation insurance available to us.  Another thing is that if you book through the Internet you don't have the ability to interact with a real person and many travel experts feel that it is almost always much better to interact with a live person when trying to do research on your travel aspirations.
Most airlines tempt you with glitzy travel discounts and cheap tours but nine out of 10 times you need to do some extra research in order to ensure that you are getting what you pay for.  The majority of our travel agents are very resourceful and knowledgeable when it comes to finding you those trips and tours that would satisfy your desires and in addition if you book through a travel agent you can definitely protect yourself by taking out cancellation insurance.
So here's the deal:  Book through the Internet and you get cheaper fares but no cancellation insurance is available to you and you do have to do more research in order to get what you're looking for.  Book through a travel agent and your fares are more expensive, but you get the cancellation insurance and they can do your research for you.  Your call.
