As we find ourselves in the midst of the annual March break when so many of us with kids choose to travel to either warmer or colder climates depending on our preferences, we need to pay some close attention to a report that was published a few days ago by some experts in the travel industry.  These experts are saying that the time is almost here when airlines are going to either start charging you to put or carry your luggage to the aircraft or they are going to either hire or outsource these types of services to other companies.  There's more.  In addition, some North American airports have started to introduce two new types of security checks whereby they will be asking for your finger prints along with photographing the iris of your eyes. 
The travel industry is really changing rapidly these days and travel as we knew it before the attacks in 2001 seems to be more of a trial rather than a joy.  Airlines are cutting so many services including in flight meals on short and medium length trips and if they decide to charge the traveling public for carriage and checking of luggage then this will mean even more cost cutting.  What more can we expect from these huge airlines who keep cutting costs but at the same time they keep increasing fares?  Something for us all to ponder.
