There is a very interesting trend that is slowly snaking its way across America these days and it has to do with families making more of an effort to eat more regularly together at home.  A few weeks ago Kelly Preston, wife of John Travolta, gave her backing to such a trend as she teamed up with the folks at Country Crock to host a huge family dinner at her home.
If this trend really takes off then fast food chains may want to think about ways of combating it because they are the ones who may be most affected by such a trend.  I personally feel that more family dinners at home or eating more at home may not be a bad idea as it would help to strengthen family units as well as encourage more healthy eating.  However, a trend such as this could have ramifications for the food industry as well as other industries that depend on the food industry for their bread and butter revenues.  Keep an eye on this trend and if it indeed takes off then I'm sure that some enterprising folks would find ways to take advantage of its opportunities and possibilities.
