Working from home: an advantage or not?
Hello there! I'm Matt Chadwick at the Untapped Wealth business desk and I'm going to stir the pot just a wee bit by raising some advantages and disadvantages re working from home.
Firstly, I am a true believer in allowing persons to work from home because I see a lot of advantages such as: Time is saved in travelling to and from the office, a longer work day could be accomplished, several persons say that it cuts down on the stress levels, and companies can reduce costs for office space plus other types of overhead costs.
However, in a recent survey published in the United States and reported by CNN news last December, it was revealed that so many people who work from home are often distracted by such things as: Surfing the Internet, running errands, playing with their kids, watching TV, plus more. Even by the good old fridge if you can believe it!
I am of the opinion that working from home can be beneficial to both employers and employees but there needs to be some guidelines in order to ensure that good work habits exist and that both employers and employees benefit to the fullest. There's an article on this topic in the January issue of the free monthly online magazine put out by www.sterlingcreations.ca. This magazine is filled with lots of very informative and up to-date information and you should give it a try.
